(2) Turn on the computer
=Start the computer
把電腦開機(jī)；啟動(dòng)電腦

按電源鍵開機(jī)。
(3) Close the computer
把筆記本電腦合上
The computer should make a clicking sound when you close the computer.
電腦關(guān)上的時(shí)候有咔噠一聲。
(4) Turn off the computer
=Shut down the computer
把電腦關(guān)閉；關(guān)機(jī)
Turn off the computer by selecting "shut down" on the Home Menu.
按主菜單上的關(guān)機(jī)鍵關(guān)閉電腦。

一說到“開電腦”呢，有很多的小伙伴們，張嘴就會(huì)來這么一句：
open the computer
這樣的表達(dá)到底對不對呢？接下來咱們就仔細(xì)來分析一下吧！
一般老外們在說話的時(shí)候，如果用“open”和“close”用來表達(dá)“開”或“關(guān)”一些東西的時(shí)候，通常指的是：
open -- 打開（把一些合著的東西打開）
close -- 關(guān)上（把一些開著的東西合上）
open / close the door
打開 / 關(guān)上門
open / close the book
打開 / 合上書
所以呢，如果我們用“open the computer”來表達(dá)“開電腦”的話，一般人們都會(huì)理解為是“把原本合著的筆記本電腦打開，翻開”這樣一層意思，并不能代表我們是要把電腦的電源開關(guān)打開，從而可以上網(wǎng)查閱資料……
相反的，“close the computer”就只能表達(dá)“把翻開的筆記本電腦合上，蓋上”
一般我們在漢語中所表達(dá)的開電腦，指的就是 “打開電腦開關(guān)，把電腦運(yùn)行起來”這樣的意思；
所以呢，在英文中人們一般會(huì)用到這個(gè)詞組來表達(dá)：
turn on -- 打開（電子產(chǎn)品）電源開關(guān)
turn on the computer -- 打開電腦，開機(jī)，啟動(dòng)電腦

一般我們在開電腦的時(shí)候，首先得這樣做:
Turn on the computer by pressing the power button.
按電源鍵打開電腦。
power button -- 電源開關(guān)，電源按鈕，電源鍵
相反的，如果咱們大家想要“關(guān)電腦”呢 ，我們就可以這樣來表達(dá)：
turn off the computer -- 把電腦關(guān)閉，關(guān)機(jī)
如果咱們大家在玩電腦，玩得正起勁的時(shí)候，突然有人讓你關(guān)電腦，你會(huì)咋辦呢：
How do I turn off the computer?
我該怎樣關(guān)電腦呢？（估計(jì)倆手都太忙了）
其實(shí)在英文中，“開電腦”我們還可以這樣來表達(dá)：
switch on the computer -- 開電腦
switch on=turn on
相反的：
switch off the computer -- 關(guān)電腦
switch off=turn off

電腦、電視、燈、空調(diào)等這些需要“打開”設(shè)備才可以用的物品，是不能用open的?！皁pen the computer”是典型的中式英語。
“開機(jī)”正確的說法是：switch on / turn on the computer
當(dāng)然你還可以說：start up the computer
舉例：
If you want to switch on the computer, press the grey button.
如果你想要打開電腦，請按灰色按鈕。
Can you show me how to start up the computer?
你可以教我怎么開機(jī)嗎？
關(guān)機(jī)≠ close the computer
我們剛剛說完“打開”設(shè)備，接著我們就說說“關(guān)閉”設(shè)備的表達(dá)。同理，這類物品的“關(guān)閉”也是不能用close來表達(dá)!
“關(guān)機(jī)”正確的說法是：switch off / turn off the computer
當(dāng)然你還可以說：shut down the computer
舉例：
Switch off the computer and havea break.
關(guān)上電腦，休息一下。
I shut down the computer and now I can't get it to turn on again.
我關(guān)掉了計(jì)算機(jī)，現(xiàn)在我卻無法再度開機(jī)。
“電腦死機(jī)了”怎么說？
我們使用電腦時(shí)，經(jīng)常會(huì)出現(xiàn)“死機(jī)”的情況，用英語該如何表達(dá)呢？最好、最地道的表達(dá)就是freeze。對于freeze，大家比較熟悉“結(jié)冰”這層意思，而電腦死機(jī)就是屏幕被定住了的狀態(tài)，好似“電腦屏幕結(jié)冰”了，是不是很形象呢？下面我們來看一下freeze這個(gè)詞的語義網(wǎng)絡(luò)圖，感受一下其各層釋義是如何建立起聯(lián)系的。
舉例：
Could you give me a hand? My screen keeps freezing.
能幫我看一下嗎，我電腦死機(jī)了。
“連接Wi-fi”怎么說？
使用電腦，離不開連接Wi-fi。連接Wi-fi怎么說？是connect with Wi-fi還是connect to Wi-fi？這里經(jīng)常會(huì)出現(xiàn)介詞的使用錯(cuò)誤。（使計(jì)算機(jī)）連接（到互聯(lián)網(wǎng)或計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)）應(yīng)是connect to。
舉例：
My computer has problems connecting to Wi-fi.
我電腦連接Wi-fi有問題。
“電腦壞了”怎么說？
我們一般表達(dá)“電腦壞了”，其實(shí)并不是表示電腦摔壞了等物理層面的損壞，而可能是電腦出現(xiàn)了“不工作，黑屏”等狀況。地道的表達(dá)就是doesn't work，意為“不工作了；不運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)了”。
舉例：
My computer doesn't work again!
我的電腦又不工作了！
